DDA Housing Scheme

Delhi Development Authority housing scheme has always provided solutions to its customers. A DDA housing scheme has a lot to offer to the seekers of affordable homes in Delhi. It provides security to the customers by giving them relief that they could own a house in the city despite high rising prices of residential properties. DDA housing scheme has an integral role to play in life. Many people apply for this as it has an access to the masses.

Moreover, DDA provides housing facilities to all people, no matter from which income group one belongs. Accordingly the houses have been constructed taking into account the typical requirements of each income group. This has been a center point of all the housing schemes that the authority has launched so far, including the housing schemes of 2006, 2008, 2009 and those proposed for 2010. Under DDA housing scheme 2008, the flats to be allotted were priced reasonably in a range from Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 77 lakh. Though DDA 1981 scheme offered flats on free hold basis through auction, the flat schemes of the later years saw the introduction of computerized draw. Nevertheless, the allotments of DDA plots at several locations have been done through public auctions.

DDA Housing scheme 2008

A DDA house comprises one, two, or three room sets (commonly referred to as 1, 2 or 3 BHK flats) depending upon the needs of the people. The DDA housing scheme 2008 allotment was done on the basis of a lottery system. The allotment is now being carried out in Rohini, Dwarka, Vasant kunj, Motia Khan, Narela, Pitampura, Paschim Vihar, Shalimar Bagh, Dilshad Garden, Lok Nayak Puram etc. The DDA flats rate ranges from 7 lakh to 77 lakhs. The DDA housing allotment is typically done on the basis of a computerized random draw. When the results for DDA housing scheme 2008 were out in December, people rushed to see the lucky draw results.

While the winners of the lucky draw will definitely get houses under the DDA scheme, those found on the waiting list may have to wait for some more time. It is expected that 200 more applicants will be chosen from the waiting list in the days to come. The Registration fee was kept at Rs. 1.5 lakhs. The unsuccessful candidates whose names do not appear on draw can get their money back within three months. The DDA flat results can be seen on the website "www.dda.org.in" and also in the national newspapers.

DDA Housing Scheme 2008 Allotment

Though the DDA draw 2008 was done under the supervision of IIT teachers a controversy regarding the publication of results could not be avoided. Amidst the demand for a stay on the allotment of flats the DDA allottees association has successfully launched campaign for the immediate transfer of the residential houses to the winners of the draw results. The Delhi high court has also given a clean chit to the DDA for not delaying the process of allotment any further. The process involves the issuance of a demand letter to the allottees. The allottees have to make payments in accordance with the provisions present on the demand letters issued to them. To help allottees pay for the price of the flats allotted to them, most of the banks are coming up with affordable finance solutions.
