MHADA Forms

MHADA Forms are usually made available at the select counters of the bank it has designated for their sale, submission and processing in Mumbai and elsewhere in Maharashtra. The popularity of MHADA flats can be seen from the zest of enthusiastic home seekers when a fresh announcement is made by the authority for the sale of new forms. This shows how the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority have made it easy for the people of the state to own a home in the state within their budget. This is a clear manifestation of the achievement, though partly, of the objectives that MHADA was constituted for in the year 1977 after an amalgamation of a number of boards and authorities.

MHADA offers homes and housing solutions to different categories of the residents on the basis of their income levels. Though its activities focus more on the housing needs of low- and middle income groups and the rehabilitation of slum dwellers, there are projects and schemes that cater to the requirements of the elite people coming from the high income group. As a result, citizens of all economic sections are looking forward to its announcements for new housing schemes and are ever ready to grab a MHADA form as it is made available for sale, either through a bank or online.

MHADA Forms Mumbai

Mumbai Housing and Area Development Authority, a unit of MHADA, has put up for sale a large number of tenements and flats under a new housing scheme for 2010. The flats, located in various colonies of the city, vary greatly in size, types and carpet areas and carry different price tags and Earnest Money Deposits (EMD). Moreover, the tenements which are available on outright sale basis include one & two BHK flats and Multipurpose Rooms located across Mumbai and its suburbs, such as Versova, Turbhe, Mandale, Mankhurd, Ghatkopar, Dahisar, Malwani Malad, Powai, Pratiksha Nagar Sion, Mulund, Goregaon, Dindoshi and Chembur, to name just a few. These homes are available for people with different income groups, such as Economical Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG) and High Income Group (HIG). Applicants must note that there is no real estate agent, consultants or any other representative appointed by the authority for the allotment of flats, which is strictly made on the basis of a lottery draw involving completely-filled and duly-scrutinized MHADA forms.

MHADA Forms 2010

The first phase for the sale and submission of MHADA forms for 2010 schemes has already started. Earlier scheduled to start in December 2009, the last dates for the sale and receipt of application forms have been extended to include the complete month of January 2010. It should be noted here that there is no MHADA office involved in the sale of fresh application forms and submission of completed forms. The responsibility for the same is given to its strategic partner Sararaswat Bank. In other words all activities concerning sale, submission and processing of MHADA forms 2010 will be carried out by Saraswat Bank instead of HDFC bank, which did the same for the authority in 2009.

MHADA Forms at Saraswat Bank

Saraswat Bank is officially assigned to sell, receive and process MHADA forms for the year 2010. The bank is doing this through a network of its 75 designated branches spread all across the state. The forms are made available at designated Saraswat Bank counters from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on all working days except Saturday, on which day the form is sold till 2.00 pm only. Applicants have a choice to apply either in English or in Marathi. Both versions of the forms are available at the counters and also online at the website of MHADA and Saraswat Bank. A list of branches of the bank selling these forms in English and Marathi along with all details is available online at the website of the authority.
