Alaska Real Estate License |
Alaska Real Estate License is required to offer services in the real estate sector. It is the State of Alaska Real Estate Commission that issues the real estate license to the eligible applicant. License to the following category of professionals is issued by the Real Estate Commission.
- Real Estate Brokers License
- Real Estate Salesperson License
- Real Estate Associate Brokers License
For brokers to get the license, completion of 15 classroom hours is must. These hours are counted under the broker training. Further s/he should primarily be into the real estate business. Applicant can be the owner, work as a broker in the corporation or partnership firm of real estate. In case of crime the candidate will not be given Alaska Real Estate License but s/he will have to undergo the seven years of sentence.
To get the AK real estate license for the category of associate brokers, the candidate must be working with the licensed broker & must have cleared the broker's examination. In case of crime the sentence is of five years. Salespersons who are preparing to get the Alaska real estate license must be 19 years of age and should have completed 40 classroom hours. Along with this work experience should be taken under the licensed real estate brokers. Seven years of sentence is given to the applicant if found guilty.
Besides these there are few common requirements for getting the Alaska real estate license. This includes clearing of necessary exam and applying for the license within six months of passing the pre-licensing exam. Applicant should have completed the needed pre-licensing education from the approved schools of real estate in Alaska.
Alaska Real Estate License Renewal
In Alaska there is a biennial system of real estate license renewal. Every license in the field of real estate expires on 31 January in the even numbered year. This is not applicable to the licenses that are issued within 90 days of expiration. This AK real estate license instead of expiring in the coming even year will expire in next biennial year. As no grace period is given so the Alaska real estate license should be renewed on or before the expiry date.
