The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority, Ohio (CMHA) was established with an aim of clearing the slums in Dec 1933 and it was fully successful in achieving its targets. CMHA works for the low-to moderate-income group and provide them affordable and safe housing units. At present also it is serving with a mission and till now almost 5,000 Public Housing households have been served. Along with the fight against poverty the Cincinnati housing authority also provides home to the elderly and working families. CMHA is playing key role in the Real Estate Development of the city. Most of the financial assistance for this valuable work comes from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Housing Authority of Cincinnati: Its ServicesAlong with this, CMHA gives the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), which offer housing opportunities for the low-income families. HCVP balance the demand of the market and what a low-income group or family can afford. The housing openings provided by the voucher programs are scattered across the Hamilton County. Under this the Houses For Rent are also covered in which affordable rent is paid by the renter and the rest is taken care by the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA). |

| CMHA | Established in December 193 CMHA provides affordable housings to the low income group in Cincinnati. CMHA is the 17th largest housing authority in the United States guided under the provisions of the Ohio housing authority law.
