CT Real Estate License Renewal |
CT Real Estate License Renewal requirements are set by the Connecticut Real Estate Commission. For this candidate can either complete the prescribed hours of continuing education or clear the Continuing Education Exam having 40 question for CT real estate license renewal. Salesperson and brokers have different renewal date that comes in every even year, which is :
- May 31st for Salesperson
- March 31st for Brokers
Real Estate License Renewal Courses
Real estate license expires each year if not renewed. The renewal can be done in the period of two years in which 12 hours of continuing education must be completed. For these courses attend the approved real estate school. Candidate can take these courses as follow:
- CT Buyer Agency - 3 Hours
- CT Disclosure, RESPA and Law Update - 3 Hours
- Six hours of real estate elective courses
All the courses must be approved by the Real Estate Commission. All the renewals are due on the even numbered years. Before making the payment of CT real estate license renewal complete the education requirements.
Instead of this continuing education, for renewal, candidate can also take the Connecticut Continuing Education 40-Question Exam' at PSI, which is the testing agency in Connecticut. Before scheduling for the exam make sure to explain that you want to sit for the exam to renew the CT real estate license.
Real Estate License Exam
Broker who has passed the license exam between 4/1/2008 and 3/31/2010 needs no additional requirement of Continuing Education. Salesperson who has passed the complete real estate license exam between 6/1/2008 and 5/31/2010 is also exempted from the additional requirements of continuing education for the CT real estate license renewal.

Candidates who have come under the reciprocal agreement will also have to complete the Connecticut real estate license renewal requirements. For this they can call the Department of Consumer Protection.
