Licensing Requirements for Salesperson and Brokers

60 classroom hours - Real Estate Principles and Practices is the basic Connecticut Real Estate License Requirements for Salesperson. Whereas for brokers, 120 hours of real estate related classes are must to be completed before applying for the license. Along with education, brokers should also have two years of experience as licensed salesperson. Out-of-state candidates, who have taken real estate license course in their state can get exemption from the courses. Along with this, all the candidates must be 18 years or older than this.

CT Real Estate License Fee

Besides these Connecticut real estate license requirements, fee is must to be submitted. For salesperson real estate license exam fee is $40.0 and for broker it is $60.00. Real estate salesperson must clear the state exam with 70% grade. Brokers need to score 70% in the proctored exam and 75% in state level exam, which is the real estate license requirement in Connecticut. No license is issued without these exams.

Real Estate License Renewal

Real estate license renewal should also be done well on time so that no break in the work comes. For salesperson it is the May 31st of each year and for broker it is March 31st of every year. 12 hours of continuing education in every two is must to be done, as it also comes under the Connecticut real estate license requirements. Three hours each should be covered by Current Issues in Real Estate I and Current Issues in Real Estate II. In the remaining six hours general or any prescribed course of real estate can be taken.
