Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board (FREAB) is a statutory agency to administer and enforce the federal and state laws concerning real estate appraisal in the state of Florida. It can pass rules and take measures to ensure its full compliance by the licensed real estate appraisers. Florida Real Estate Appraiser Board offers licenses, as well, to the people willing to become a real estate appraiser. The applicants are required to complete prescribed hours of qualifying education including those made necessary by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) before applying for a Florida appraisal license.

Florida Appraisal Board: Their Services

Headquartered in Orlando, the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board consists of seven members. It is a division of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which acts as a de jure authority to fulfill licensing requirements of qualified professionals from different fields. Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board or simply Florida Appraisal Board is the one that sets eligibility criteria for appraisers license and enforces regulations to ensure fair practices by the licensed appraisers. It can also take disciplinary action against a licensed appraiser on receipt of complaints by the citizens of the state.

Florida Real Estate Appraisal License: Requirements

The Florida Real Estate Appraiser Board offers appraisers license for Registered Trainee Appraiser, Certified Residential Appraiser, Certified General Appraiser and Appraiser Instructor. While the applicants for Registered Trainee Instructor need not face any exam, the applicants for the other categories have to pass certain exams separately. But for all the categories, the candidates must fulfill the necessary educational requirements before applying. Although, such requirements are different in each case, they include prescribed courses from the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
