Florida Real Estate License Reciprocity is the mutual agreement between other states to allow their professionals in real estate to work in Florida. There are 10 states that have mutual agreement with Florida. Under this comes:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Connecticut
- Georgia
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Mississippi
- Nebraska
- Oklahoma
- Tennessee
Florida Real Estate Law Exam: Requirements
Any candidate from these states, who is not Florida resident, 18 years of age and holds the high school diploma, is eligible to get the real estate license according to Florida real estate license reciprocity. These applicant must clear the Florida Real Estate Law examination. In this exam there are 40 questions and candidate needs to give at least 30 correct answers to clear this.
Along with this, s/he should hold the active real estate license to get it in the state of FL. While getting the license the candidate should also submit the certificate showing license history and this certificate should not be older than a year. This should be issued only the licensing authority of that specific state. After fulfilling all the requirements, applicant can fill the form RE-2050-1 and submit it to the Florida Division of Real Estate to get the active license.
Florida Real Estate License Reciprocal Agreement
FL real estate license reciprocity or reciprocal agreement is thus a waiver in educational requirements and gives relief to the candidates in getting license. The main aim of this reciprocal agreement or mutual agreement is to provide vehemency to other state's education and experience. In addition to this the candidates from the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee are also required to fulfill certain other requirements that include number of years of experience.
