Florida Real Estate License Requirements are laid down by the Division of Real Estate of the Florida Real Estate Commission. The common eligibility for all the licensure candidate is 18 years of age and high school diploma. Along with this every candidate whether real estate sales associate or broker, also has certain educational and experience requirements that must be met.
FL Real Estate License Requirements for Real Estate Sales Associates
Real estate associates are required to complete 63 classroom-hours and these courses are valid for the period of two years after completion. The courses are also approved by FREC. You can also apply for the license before completing the education. Once you have submitted the application with fee and fingerprints, now go for the real estate license exam, which is one of the prerequisites and must clear it with 75 grade. Florida real estate license requirements also need the submission of RE-2050-1 form to get active license otherwise it will be given in an inactive state. Every license has the expiration date and you need to renew it prior to that date. Renewal of the license is also the requirement that needs 45 classroom hours.
Florida Real Estate License Requirements for Brokers
Real estate brokers' real estate license requirements in Florida requires two years of experience as real estate associate and active real estate license in the same. Real estate brokers are required to complete 72 classroom hours and clear the real estate exam with 75 grades. Then submit the complete application form with fee and finger print. Brokers like real estate associates also need to submit form RE-2050-1 to get the active license in Florida. For continuing education and renewal of the license 60 classroom hours are must to be completed.

Florida real estate license requirements for the professionals out side the state need the specific experience. If applying for brokers license, applicant must have two years of experience in the last five years. Also submit the certificate of real estate license history, which should not be older than a year). Get this issued from the licensing agency of that particular state. There are 11 other states which has mutual agreement with Florida. These include Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. These candidates are also required to clear the Florida Real Estate Law exam with 30 marks.
Exemption in Education Requirements
Florida Real Estate Commission has given exemptions to the active members of Florida Bar who are in good standing. For them there is exemption in courses of real estate associates.
