GA Real Estate License Renewal period last for four years and all the licensees who have the license with license number more than 100,000 are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education. Real Estate License Renewal Requirements for Salesperson
Salesperson whose GA real estate license renewal is due for the first time, need to complete 25 hours of post license courses, in which 6 hours will be counted for continuing education. The requirement of pre and post licensing courses is different from the continuing education for Georgia real estate license renewal. Out-of-state candidate must also produce the proof of eduction to the Commission. Real estate license renewal in GA can also be done online in the website of Real Estate Commission. Although it can be done any day and anytime but should be done 120 days before the date of expiration. For the expiration date, the weekends and holidays will not be considered, so no grace period owing to these is given to the applicant.
Reinstatement of the License
If the licensee does not renew the license within a year of the expiry date then the license will be considered as lapsed. License can be reinstated by paying additional fee. But in this also you will have to complete the CE requirement. Moreover, in this case, the license before the expiry date must be in active status and renewal should be done within 30 days of the expiration. If these conditions are not fulfilled then with GA real estate license renewal, licensee will get inactive license. To convert the inactive license into active, complete the continuing education, fill the Change Form and send it to the Commission. This reinstatement of the license can also be done online.
Real Estate License Reinstatement Application
But if you have crossed the tenure of one year after the expiry date then you cannot do the Georgia real estate license renewal online. You will have to fill the Reinstatement Application and submit it with the Commission along with fee to get active license. To convert inactive license into active one, complete the requirement of continuing education, and submit Change Application form. After completing all these formalities for GA real estate license renewal, you will receive new wall license along with pocket card within two business days.
