Georgia Real Estate License Requirements |
Georgia Real Estate License Requirements for education, pre-license courses, renewal of the license are mandatory to complete. Real Estate License Law governs all the license requirements in GA. One can get license after specific age and getting the prescribed education from the accredited schools of real estate in GA.
There are three kinds of professionals in real estate of GA. These are:
- Real Estate Salesperson
- Real Estate Associate Broker
- Real Estate Broker
The requirements of all these are defined by the Georgia Real Estate Commission that include prescribed number courses, years of education and CE.
GA Real Estate License Requirements for Real Estate Salesperson
- Age of 18 years or above
- High School Graduate or GED
- Present Georgia Crime Information Report (GCIC). This report must not be older than 60 days. For this you can visit police department or office of local sheriff.
In addition to the above mentioned Georgia real estate license requirements for salesperson, 75 hours of pre-licensing education are also must to complete. If not this, then complete 6 semester hours or 10 quarter hours from approved university or college. Salesperson also need to complete 25 hours of post license course within a year of getting the license. Fulfill these real estate license requirements in GA to enter in realty as salesperson.
Georgia Real Estate License Requirements for Brokers
Candidate applying for broker's license must be 21 or above years of age. Broker's license also need the experience of three years as licensed salesperson in or out of state. The pre-licensing course include any one of the three options:
- 60 hours of continuing education from approved school of real estate or University
- 15 quarter hours
- 9 semester hours
