Idaho Association of Realtors

Idaho Association of Realtors (IAR) acts as an important channel between local Board/Associations of Realtors and National Association of Realtors (NAR). All the members of local boards/associations automatically become the members of IAR and NAR also. There are 22 board of realtors in Idaho. The collective actions of all these organizations aim at safeguarding the business interest of real estate practitioners across the state of Idaho, ID. Besides, Idaho Association of Realtors also has objectives to influence legislative issues in favor of Idaho real estate and protect private property rights. To ensure fairness and integrity in real estate business practices and increase efficiency level of real estate professionals, it offers a wide range of courses and professional designations to its member realtors.

Idaho Board of Realtors

A real estate agent in Idaho can become a Realtor after joining a local board of realtors and can obtain the right to use the term 'Realtor' for commercial purposes. The realtors have to subscribe to a Code of Ethics and follow it strictly in all their business practices. Apart from this they are also entitled to a lot of benefits and services provided by Idaho Board of Realtors in cooperation with the National Association of Realtors and numerous affiliated organizations. For example, Realtors Forms, which have become standards for real estate industry in the state, are made available free to all its members by Idaho Association of Realtors. It is, however, also possible to buy hard copies or disk version of such forms through IAR websites.

Idaho Realtors Association: Its Services

Idaho Realtors Association represents legal aspects of real estate issues before local, state or federal governments through Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC). Funds are generated under its banner through the voluntary contribution of IAR members, which is used to support real estate issues at state and national levels. The RPAC funds are also used to support candidates that are favorable to real estate industry in Idaho.

There are several institutes, societies and councils at the national level, which are affiliated with the NAR and also have corresponding relationship with the Idaho Board of Realtors. Prominent among these having presence in the state are Real Estate Brokerage Council (CRB), Realtor Land Institute (RLI), Residential Sales Council (CRS), Commercial Investment Real Estate Council (CCIM) and Women's Council of Realtors (WCR). High quality educational programs and real estate designations are offered by Idaho Realtors Association in cooperation with these organizations.
