Illinois Real Estate License Exam is administered by the Applied Measurement Professional, Inc abbreviated as AMP. The real estate license test is conducted on weekdays from Monday to Friday at 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM. Only selected testing sites are available for the test on Saturday.
Illinois Real Estate License Exam is there for the following types of professionals:
- Salesperson
- Broker
- Instructor
- Leasing Agent
Along with this out-of-state candidates also need to complete the requirements of IL real estate license exam. They can also get few exemptions as per Real Estate License Law.
For the registration of Illinois real estate license exam, candidate can use online resource, can get it over the phone, mail or fax. Any candidate with disability must inform the AMP in advance so that required arrangement for the same can be made.
Illinois real estate license exam is canceled if the rescheduling is done second time, candidate reaches 15 min late than the actual time of the examination, fail to produce required documents of ID, wishes to reschedule but not able to do it two days before the IL real estate license test and no fingerprint scans are send to the department.
IL Real Estate License Exam: Overview
Real estate license exam consists of two portion, which are National portion and State portion. For salesperson national portion of exam has 100 question and state portion 40 questions. The State portion of Illinois real estate license exam will extensively cover the IL Real Estate License Law. It is mandatory to clear both the portions of exam in order to get the license.
National portion of exam for brokers will contain ten simulation problems of which eight are scored and two are used to pre-test your knowledge for further test. Each problem will have three components, which are as follow:
- Scenario
- Information Gathering (IG)
- Decision Making (DM)

State portion of real estate license exam in Illinois will contain 40 question on Real Estate License Law. After completing the exam, candidate will have to answer the screening questions, which consists of questions on your education, conviction etc.
The score report after completing your Illinois real estate exam is given, whether you have cleared it or not. So all the requirements of real estate license test must be met to get license.
