Illinois Real Estate License Reciprocity |
Illinois Real Estate License Reciprocity allows candidate from another state to work in Illinois. Certain waivers in education and exam is given to the applicants who are applying for the license under reciprocal agreement. At present, Illinois Real Estate License Reciprocity occurs with the following states
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Georgia
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Kentucky
- Nebraska
- South Dakota
- Wisconsin
Real Estate License Reciprocal Agreement: Requirements
But the applicant needs to fulfill the requirements before applying for the license. These conditions are:
- 21 years of age
- High school graduate and have high school degree (GED) or study equivalent to that
- At the time of applying for the license, applicant must be the resident of state under Illinois real estate license reciprocity
- Brokers along with this should also have the experience of two years as licensed salesperson
Applicant must also submit the Certification by Licensing Agency/Board. You will get this form in the Candidate Information Bulletin. After completing that form, submit it with your state board or agency if it is in the list of Illinois real estate license reciprocity of reciprocal agreement.
Every applicant even from the reciprocal state needs to complete the requirement of continuing education for the renewal of the license. Without completing the CE the license will not be activated. All these condition of reciprocity are as per Real Estate License Law and administer by the Division of Professional Regulation. After getting the license with reciprocal agreement, candidate can then sell, buy or make any kind of real estate deal in IL. |
