Iowa Real Estate License Exam is conducted by PSI. You must send the complete application form with fee for the type of license you are eligible to sit for. Along with this submit the proof of continuing education and E&O Insurance.
The Iowa real estate license exam can be registered online, by mail, over the phone and through fax. The scheduling of exam after online and over the phone submission of application, can be done instantly. But for other two types of registration applicant will have to wait for few days. In case of fax registration, the Iowa real estate license exam can be scheduled after four business days whereas scheduling can be done after two weeks in case the registration that has been done by mail. Iowa Real Estate License Exam: Basic Requirements
On day of IA real estate license exam get the Prelicense Education Completion Certificate, Letter of Authorization from the Commission for any waiver and previous experience. Along with this, also bring two identity proofs at the time of examination. The one should be photo ID showing the photo and signature, and the other one should show signature and your legal name.
Non resident applicants also need to give the state portion of Iowa real estate license exam if the other portion has been waived by the Commission. This is done under reciprocity or reciprocal agreement that state of Iowa shares with other states in US.
Real Estate Exam Questions
For salesperson and broker the national portion of exam will contain 80 question and state portion will have 40 questions. Time allowed to complete the national portion of Iowa real estate license exam is 120 minutes and for state portion it is 60 minutes. Salesperson need to have 56 marks in national and 28 marks in state exam to clear it. Whereas broker needs 60 marks in national part and 30 marks in state portion of licensing exam in order to clear it.
