Kentucky Real Estate School

Kentucky Real Estate School gives education to all the candidates who want to pursue real estate career. Becoming a professional real estate salesperson or broker in the state needs step by step procedure that must be followed. The Kentucky Real Estate Commission is responsible for governing the real estate sector and for this it approves the KY real estate schools as well as real estate courses that are required before and after getting the license.

Salesperson which is the first step of entering into real estate professional needs high school diploma. But if the applicant does not have this then s/he is required to complete 28 credit hours and this can be done from the Kentucky post secondary institution. Then these applicants must complete six semester or 96 approved real estate classes from the Kentucky real estate schools, university or college. Becoming a broker also needs to attend the real estate school in Kentucky as 336 hours or 21 credit hours are needed to get the Kentucky Real Estate License . These hours must include 12 real estate courses and three credit hours must be covered by the brokerage management real estate course.

Real Estate Continuing Education

Most of the online real estate schools in KY offer continuing education. For continuing education six hours are taken once in every four years. The purpose of this real estate education is to keep the knowledge of the real estate professional up to date and for the renewal of license. These real estate courses are also approved by the Commission. For this the duration of the classes should be three hours.

Kentucky Real Estate Exam

After completing the education and pre-licensing requirement, candidate can apply for the real estate license exam that is administered by Pearson VUE. To book the exam you can call Pearson and give the personal details such as address, phone number, social security number and date of birth. Also give information regarding type of examination, preferred test center and date of KY real estate examination. School code from where you have taken the pre-licensing education is also mandatory at the time of booking. You can also visit the website of Pearson for the online booking.

Kentucky real estate exam is of four hours duration and has two portions. These are:

Real Estate Exam Questions


General portion has 80 questions and about 10% of the exam has mathematical computation. State portion of real estate exam in Kentucky has 40 question and 10 pretest questions.
