Maine Real Estate Broker License

To obtain the brokers real estate license in Maine candidate must have worked as an associate broker for one years within the period of three years. The applicant must have the two years degree in the real estate along with the completion of Role of the Designated broker course. Candidate can apply for the brokers real estate license in ME within a year of finishing the course. For associate brokers the applicant must have the experience of two years. Along with this required courses and associate brokers examination must also be cleared for real estate licensing.

Real Estate License Requirements for Salesperson

For getting salesperson real estate license basic requirements are same as that of broker. These include 18 years of age, diploma from high school or GED. Pre-licensing exam for salesperson license should also be cleared and within the year of clearing the exam applicant can apply for the license. Apart from this criminal record check should also be submitted. For the honesty and trustworthiness salesperson will have to get the notarized testimonials from 3 persons. Written authorization from the broker under whom the salesperson work should also be submitted at the time of applying for the Maine real estate licence.

ME Real Estate License Renewal

Applicants from other reciprocal states who has cleared the state portion of the exam and already licensed in their native state can also apply for the salesperson or brokers ME real estate license. Real estate license expires each year on 31st December and thus needs renewal. 15 hours of continuing education is must for the Maine real estate license renewal. If the license has been expired and 90 days have passed then again for the renewal applicant will have to give the exam.
