Maine Realtors Association

Maine Association of Realtors (MAR) is a member-based trade association, which was established to cater to the professional needs of real estate practitioners in the State of Maine and to champion the cause of real estate industry before the government at local, state and national level. As a result, the three-level hierarchy involving the National Association of Realtors , the Maine Association of Realtors and many local boards/associations of Realtors takes collaborative actions to bring forth a very high degree of professionalism and ethical standard in real estate business practices all through the state.

Maine Association of Realtors: Its Membership

With the membership open to all licensed real estate practitioners, such as real estate brokers, appraisers, real estate agents etc, the number of member realtors in the Maine Association of Realtors has seen a consistent growth over the years. MAR is now among the largest professional associations in the entire State. Moreover, people find Realtors more reliable in comparison to those who are not members of Maine Board of Realtors because of the fact that the realtors have to enter into an agreement with the association to follow a Code of Ethics in letter and spirit during their entire professional careers, thus ensuring fairness in their business practices.

Maine Association of Realtors offers a multitude of services and educational courses to its member realtors in order to increase their level of competency and to make them aware of what is happening on the legal and technological fronts. The education courses include the compulsory NAR Code of Ethics Online Course and NAR Commercial Code of Ethics Online Course. Professional Designations that Maine Realtors Association has to offer to its members include ABR, ABRM, ALC, ARM, CCIM, CIPS, CPM, CRB, CRE, CRS, e-PRO, GAA, PMN, RAA, SIOR and SRES.
