Massachusetts Real Estate Board

Massachusetts Real Estate Board or Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salesperson is sub part of the Division of Professional Licensure Boards that is further under the Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. The Mass Real Estate Board provides license to the real estate brokers, real estate LLC, real estate corporation or partnership and real estate salesperson. For giving the license the regulatory and statutory formalities are checked and verified.

MA Real Estate Board: Its Memberships

The Massachusetts Real Estate Board consists of five members, three are active real estate brokers and two should be from the public. The active members should have the experience of seven years. All the members of the board are appointed by the Governor with the consent from the council. The members can serve the two terms. Each year four meetings are held by the Mass Real Estate Commission/Board.

Now for giving the license, the Massachusetts Real Estate Board also regulates and approves the real estate schools. Along with this courses are also pre defined so that right from the beginning the agents get the required education. This all is done by the Massachusetts Real Estate Commission or board to safeguard the public interest, as the real estate salesperson and other professionals work in the Real Estate industry where buying, selling and renting take place. Apart from this they also appraise the property, maintain escrow account, make lease agreements and in the whole process negotiate with the seller and buyer.

The application for the renewal of the real estate license is also sent to the MA Real Estate Board/Commission. If the license has expired withing two years then you can contact the board and if the expiration period is more than two years then send the request for Reinstatement in the written form to the real estate board in Mass. This request will include your address, name, date of birth, social security number and signature. Now if salesperson or broker is licensed in other state then he/she can also apply for the license in the state of Massachusetts, as it has reciprocity will all other states leaving Vermont. Salesperson who have completed their education from the real estate schools that are approved by the Massachusetts Real Estate Board are eligible to get the license.
