Michigan Real Estate Broker License

For obtaining real estate brokers license in MI, candidate should be at least 18 years of age. Work experience as real estate salesperson for three years is also needed to apply for state of Michigan real estate licence in broker's category. Furthermore 90 hours of education and that too from the approved real estate schools are mandatory. Again like salesperson, brokers also need to renew the real estate license. Continuing education consisting of 18 hours is must for the MI real estate license renewal. 6 hours must be completed each year. Candidate can be licensed as a broker who works interdependently as a solo proprietor or can be issued MI real estate license as associate broker who works under the licensed broker.

At present the state of Michigan does not have reciprocal arrangement with any of the other state.
