Montana Housing Authority was established with the purpose of catering to advancing demands for houses and homes at affordable rates. This housing division was formed under the Department of Commerce on 1st July, 1995. It consists of the Section 8, Housing Program, Home Investment Partnership Program and the Board of Housing along with its program.
