Montana Board of Realty Regulation of the Department of Labor and Industry - Business Standards controls the activity of brokers and real estate salesperson by putting regulations on the exam and licensing requirements. Under equivalency an applicant submit the proof of equivalent education to the Montana Real Estate Board and if the application is accepted then the applicant just need to complete the 60 hours of pre-licensing instruction. Board of realty in MT also handle the renewal of the license that occurs on 31st October each year.
