Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board is an arm of the state government that enforces appraisal laws to administer real estate appraisers and oversee appraisal practices effectively across the state. The board has five members and each of them is appointed by the Governor for a term of five years. A member cannot serve the board for two consecutive terms. Out of the five members, two are required to be certified general real property appraisers. The rest of the members should represent licensed or certified residential real property appraisers, financial institutions, licensed real estate broker and salesperson.Nebraska Real Estate Appraisal BoardAll the members of the Nebraska Appraisal Board meet at scheduled dates to discuss particularly on applications for real estate appraisal licensure. As far as the general requirements for appraisal licensure are concerned, the applicant must be over 19 years of age and a citizen of the state.NE Real Estate Appraiser LicenseThe Nebraska real estate appraisers must possess the educational and experience criteria as has been set by the board in sync with the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB). At the same time. the applicants have to complete courses that comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
