Nevada Real Estate License Renewal |
Nevada Real Estate License Renewal is done by the Nevada Real Estate Division. Requirements for first and subsequent renewals are different. But in any case, to renew real estate license, applicant needs to fill the renewal form. Along with this copies of continuing education and fee is submitted with the Division in person or through mail.
Every license in the state is valid for the period of one year. This means that first renewal is due after a year. No grace period is given for renewing the license. Validity of the license is till the last date of the month in which you have obtained the license. The subsequent renewal after this is done for the period of two years.
Requirements for first Nevada real estate license renewal
- 30 hours of post licensing education
- Renewal fee. For sales person it is $180.00 and for broker and broker sales license the fee is $220.00
Nevada real estate license renewal requirements for second and subsequent renewals
- Both real estate sales person and brokers are required to complete 24 hours of courses that are approved by Commission
- Renewal fee. For sales person it is $180.00 and for broker and broker sales license the fee is $220.00
Real estate sales person are required to complete 12 hours of courses in Agency, Contracts, Ethics, Law and Legislation. Along with this 12 hours should be covered by elective course with 3 hours in personal development course (optional).
Brokers are required to complete 15 hours in Agency, Contracts, Ethics, Law & Legislation, and Broker Management and nine hours of elective course with 3 hours of personal development course (optional)
Renewal of Inactive License
Along with first and subsequent renewal, Nevada real estate license renewal is also done for inactive license. Activate the inactive license before the expiry date. In this renewal there is no requirement of continuing education. Fill the renewal form and submit it along with fee. |

In any case if the renewal form is sent by mail then it should reach the department by midnight before the expiry date. If you are going in person to give the application form then avoid end of the month and noon (day's middle).
