New Jersey Real Estate License Requirements: For Salesperson

Salesperson requirements for getting real estate license in NJ include age limit that should be at least 18. Basic education includes diploma from the high school or GED that a candidate must have before applying for the NJ real estate license. Then 75 hours of courses that are approved by the real estate commission must also be completed. Three of these courses should be about ethics and ethical conduct. Salesperson can apply for the real estate license in NJ through broker.

NJ Real Estate Broker License

Age and basic education requirements to get broker real estate license in New Jersey is same as that of salesperson. 150 hours of approved courses for pre-licensing education must be completed in which first of all 90 hours of general real estate courses and then two 30 hours are dedicated to ethics and ethical conduct. Immediately before applying for the real estate license in NJ , applicant will have to get the three years of experience as salesperson.

After completing pre-licensing education and experience the report of the same is sent to the Education Qualification Section of the Real Estate Commission. After this candidate will get the Certificate of Examination Eligibility that is used to book the real estate licensing exam. All the applicants of NJ real estate licenses must be the citizens of USA and free from any criminal background. Within a year of completing the education candidates can apply for the license. As New Jersey does not have reciprocity with any other state, so the the non resident applicant will have to go through the same procedure as any resident broker or salesperson.

Real Estate License Renewal New Jersey

New Jersey real estate licenses need renewal after every two year. The real estate license in New Jersey expires on 30th June, which needs continuing education for the renewal of the real estate license in NJ.
