NM Real Estate License is a medium of judging the efficiency of real estate salespersons and brokers. Real estate license in NM is given only after completing the basic as well as pre-licensing education and examination requirements. Before applying for the salesperson real estate license, applicant will have to complete 60 classroom hours. The time period for the completion is three years. Out of these 60 hours, 30 are applied on Real Estate Law and 30 to the Real Estate Practice. After getting education all the applicant will have to appear for the pre-licensing real estate exam and clear it to get the New Mexico real estate license.New Mexico Real Estate Broker LicenseAny applicant who is applying for the real estate brokers license in New Mexico will have to complete 90 hours of real estate courses. Along with this s/he must have two years experience as salesperson or associate broker in the last five years. If the eligibility of experience is not fulfilled then the applicant must complete 180 hours of classroom study. Otherwise with experience the pre-licensing education must cover 120 hours of courses that are approved by the Commission. Qualifying Broker or Brokerage Office Administration course, Real Estate Law, Brokers Basic and Real Estate Principles and Practices are covered in these 120 hours with 30 hours given to each of these mentioned courses for New Mexico real estate licensing. Applicant who is currently working as licensed a real estate broker in other state with one year of experience and 90 hours of education in real estate can also apply for New Mexico real estate license.
For getting real estate license in New Mexico for Associate Broker, one must be 18 years of age. 90 credit hour pre-licensing courses that are approved by the Real Estate Commission must have been completed. All the candidates who are from another states and applying for the NM real estate license must submit the Certified License History or Certified License Certificate. New Mexico real estate license issued for the period of three years and prior to the completion of this time renewal is mandatory. For this candidates take continuing education from the approved schools and in approved courses of real estate.
