North Carolina real estate license to the salesperson is given if the applicant is 18 years of age. 67 hours of real estate courses that are approved by the commission are necessary to be completed within three years before the date of filing an application for the license. Along with pre-licensing and basic education, all the applicants are required to clear the real estate exam that is meant for the salesperson. NC Real Estate Broker License

Brokers can apply for the real estate license in North Carolina if they have minimum age of 18 years. 60 hours of approved real estate courses need to be completed within the period of three years before applying for the real estate license in NC. Clearing of broker real estate exam is also mandatory for the license. Along with this having work experience as salesperson, completion of educational courses or unexpired salesperson real estate license are must to have things before getting real estate brokers license in NC. All the applicants, whether applying for broker's or salesperson's license should submit the proof of honesty, good moral character etc by submitting the Criminal Record Report. Real Estate License Reciprocity

North Carolina real estate license reciprocity is maintained with twelve other states. Any candidate who has been actively engaged in the real estate business and been issued real estate license in his/her respective state after clearing exam, can apply for the real estate license in North Carolina without giving examination. Any non resident applicant who has been issued salesperson license must work under the supervision of licensed broker in NC.

Real Estate License Renewal

In North Carolina real estate license is issued for the period of one years after which it needs renewal. For the renewal eight classroom hours of continuing education is must to be accomplished from the accredited continuing education providers. Inactive license holders do not have any need of the continuing education. Courses through distance education can also be taken for this.
