The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) works to uplift the life as a whole in the city by helping low-income group. There are seven Boards of Director who are responsible for making goals. They also do the policy approvals and direct the members of HACP. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by giving funds also assists the Pittsburgh Housing Authority to achieve its goal. Section 8 Voucher programs and public housing programs are sun by the housing authority in Pittsburgh.
More than 20,000 residents of Pittsburgh have been assisted by the different housing programs of HACP. Apart from this more than 7,000 housing units are managed by the HACP. Also senior housing communities are established in almost every part of the city. The housing authority also do the real estate management and creates affordable and living atmosphere. HACP is completely fulfilling its dream of improving life quality and living standard of low-income category. By keeping this in mind housing development is done in different phases.
