SC Real Estate Commission |
SC Real Estate Commission was named from South Carolina Real Estate Board in 1972 just to give it a separate identity from the rest of the boards. Real Estate Commission came as the South Carolina General Assembly with the Act 833 in 1956. With this real estate license was made compulsory for the proper working of the Assembly. Later on the administration of the General Assembly was given to the South Carolina Insurance Commission on July 1, 1956. But with the amendment of the Act in 1960, the Insurance Commission was removed and the General Assembly was then known as the South Carolina Real Estate Board. This board consisted of nine members who were appointed by the Governor. Seven members were actively engaged in the real estate sector and two were public representatives who were not from the real estate industry.South Carolina Real Estate Commission: An OverviewNow this Board is working as South Carolina Real Estate Commission and it along with real estate also handles the Subdivided Land and Vacation Time Share.
