After fulfilling the education and fingerprint requirement, candidate can apply for the real estate exam. Sitting and clearing the license exam is the most crucial part of Texas real estate license. For exam, first of all apply for the inactive license by submitting the Application for Inactive License and fee to the TX Real Estate Commission. After the acceptance of the application, PSI, Psychological Services, Inc, Test providers will issue the Candidate Information Brochure (CIB). After clearing the exam get the active real estate license to start the profession successfully.

In case of salesperson, after getting the inactive license, work under the licensed broker. Then broker and the salesperson will complete the 'Salesperson Sponsorship Form' to get the active license.

These TX real estate license requirements are according to the present market and should be strictly followed. Along with this there is continuing education, which again is an obligatory part of real estate license in Texas. The law also exempt few individuals from the active license requirements. These include: law licensed attorney in and out of state, public official for official duties, real estate professional conducting transactions under court order etc.
