Real Estate Appraiser License

According to the law of the state, only the persons that have been licensed from the authorized licensing agency can perform appraisal activities in a professional way. The Vermont Board of Real Estate Appraisers is the authorized licensing agency in the state. Hence, the persons willing to make careers in the appraisal services should approach the Vermont Real Estate Appraisers Board to know about the types and procedure of licensure. Although experience is required for most of the licensing categories, the entry level candidates can be permitted to practice under the supervision of licensed appraisers.

Besides experience, the applicants must possess the qualifying education as has been determined by the board. The minimum standard in education needed for a licensing category is based on the directives issued by the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB).

There is another division under The Appraisal Foundation that sets the standards for professional appraisal practices. This division is named as Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP). Among other courses, the applicants must also complete the courses approved by the USPAP in order to become eligible for licensure.

The Vermont Real Estate Appraisal Board also offers services to consumers. They are offered easy access to qualified and regulated real estate appraisers for their various appraisal needs. The quality of services is guaranteed and any slackness on part of the hired appraisers is liable for disciplinary action.
