Vermont Real Estate Commission has seven members and works under the Office of Professional Regulation. Members from following sectors are selected and appointed:
- Two members of the commission are the members of the public but not the consumer
- One member should be attorney at law
- Three members of the Vermont real estate commission should be real estate brokers with four years of experience.
- One member should be licensed salesperson
Vermont Real Estate License
The State of Vermont Real Estate Commission for the election of chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary meets annually. Issuing of the license to the real estate salesperson and brokers is the main duty of the real estate commission. Applicants can apply for the license only after clearing the pre-licensing exam and completing the education. Both of these are regulated by the real estate commission in VT.
All the real estate licensure exams are administer by the commission. For this independent testing services are hired for the proper conduct of the exam. After this candidate can apply for the real estate license. The application for the same is sent to the VT Real Estate Commission. Then this license is renewed in every two years. For this prescribed fee is deposited along with the proof of four hours of continuing education. Any change in the name or location of the business should also be informed to the real estate commission. Non residents brokers of the state can also apply for the license.VT Real Estate Commission Ensures Fair PracticesIf the consumer made complaints against the unauthorized practices then these investigated by the State of Vermont Real Estate Commission. Along with this the case may be forwarded to the attorney general. Proper disciplinary actions are taken against the licensed real estate sales person and broker for the unlawful activities. Written complaints from the public, state or federal agency, attorney general or the licensee are entertained by the commission. For the unprofessional conduct license can be revoked, suspended or either warning or reprimand or both can be issued to the defaulter. |
